Since Alicia has returned from Europe the band has been busy playing lots of gigs around town and a few regional ones as well.
While in Europe Alicia played festivals in the UK and Germany with Shisha PM.
Alanna played some jazz gigs around Melbourne and with Liam O'Connell has formed a new jazz trio, 'Old Hat'. Their music features Alanna on vocals, Liam on guitar and vocals and Richard Mander on double bass.They play a mixture of original tunes written by Alanna and Liam and some beautiful lesser known jazz standards uncovered and given some new verve. Watch out for Old Hat. They have a residency at Bebida Bar in Smith St, Collingwood, Thursday nights in February.
Last weekend we all had a fantastic time at the wonderful Maldon Folk Festival. We would all highly recommend this one as an excellent festival to include on your calendar.
It's a charming little town, and the festival is so chilled compared to most of the larger ones.There is plenty of choice, quality sound and some great venues such as the beautiful Penny School built in 1860 and now converted into a lovely cafe/gallery.It was great to have our original guitarist Andrew Shepherd playing with us and Coral Farrow adding some banjo to some of our songs.

* 17th January - Melodica Acoustic Festival @ the Wesley Anne 250 High St, Northcote, 3pm - 11pm . This is the fourth Melodica festival which celebrates local music and independent artists, encouraging networking and the building of a sense of community. We share the stage with some great acts such as Sam Bourke, Cilla Jane, the Hazelman Brothers, Tracey McNeil,Andy Hazel and James Kenyon . Our set is at 7.30pm on Saturday.

* 5th February - Old Hat commences its residency @ Bebida Bar, 325 Smith St, Collingwood.

* 28th February - Softbelly Bar 367 Little Burke St, 2pm - 7pm Acoustica CD Launch. We have a track - Alicia's song 'The Book'- on this compilation from artists who have performed at 'Music in a Quiet Place' at the City Library.
We'll be playing a 20 minute set. The CD should be great with tracks from Jason Lowe,Rosie Burgess and others.
